Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired.

We have moved to a new, blazing fast server.
I made the process as transparent as possible.

So what changed?
New IP (another machine, another IP): 144.76.165.207
Awesome CPU: i7-4770
32GB of RAM. Anyone wants minecraft? :)
And few other changes..

Same specs as mine :D

I have i7-4770K and 32gb 2.5GHz memory :D (Also 15,2TB HDD space + 2x128gb SSD in Raid0 :D)

Nah, using it for playing HD 3D movies flawless for my home cinema system.

Also running FTP server, UT server and occasionally CSS servers on it through VMWare :)

Next thing is upgrading the line from 40/40 to 100/100, prob gonna do that next week :)

Yea, but then you wont get the smooth picture I'm looking for :D Like you see in cinemas. (I'm an audio/video freak..)

When I say HD, I mean BD stream, not low-quality rips :) (50gb~ each movie)

HD is a defined term, also called 1080p.
Blu-ray is way better, but you will not convince me that your computer is a requirement for high quality video/audio.
Talking about Audio, do you have a 1k$ speakers and $500 sound blaster? If not, then you are fooling yourself with high quality. More powerful CPU or 32gb of ram will not make your video/audio better.

Its the computer that is drawing the images that is viewed :) Yea, it is. But I meant it as it has more information per pixel. More detailed image.

Audio has nothing to do with it, as its digital. (PCM 192KHz 24bit)

with 32GB memory, its pre-loading most of the movie directly to the memory. Which gives it an better datastream through CPU and GPU. Its not necessary with that much, but as I'm also running some servers at the same time, it can be necessary at some times.

It is required a lot of CPU and GPU power, to run a BD-quality movie stored and drawed on the computer 100% glitch free.. :) (You can see this extra well, in areas where the whole world that is drawn on GPU is moving.)

As you probably know video files contains information that the GPU and CPU uses to draw an image, and in that way it is important to have sufficient computing power to handle all that information.

On the speaker side, front and rear speakers are customized (Casings only original on sorrounds) and tuned highly sensitive speaker mikes and analyzed and we modified the crossover. Powered by an Yamaha reciever. Center is orignial Patos center (Norwegian elite speaker Brand, pre-chinese takeover) and subwoofer is an JBL 10"..

Please point me to the Media Player which preloads more than few seconds (not even talking about whole video) of a video, so I can Booo them.

Drawing Blu-Ray graphics is intense shit, I agree. But the requirement is bounded. Once you give more than required, you will not receive better quality (FPS will not increase like in games :DDD )

Sufficient, that is sufficient:

Eh? Since audio is digital, the hardware is not required? Is Blu-ray analog then? Audio is an art of its own. Current generation is used to the worst audio quality ever in the human history. It takes a lot of effort to reproduce an audio sound-wave with minimal distortion and noise. Keep in mind, eventhough the audio is digital, it still has to become physical soundwave.

I assume you got good Audio system, good. I hate people spending dozen of money into video, forgetting about audio channel at all.

Overall, the precaching of the movie into RAM is LOLZ. Were you brainwashed by marketing team, or are trying to look a professional computer scientist, while you clearly are not?

Please do not take it personal, I acknowledge not everyone is supposed to know how those metal boxes work, but do not pretend you know if you don't. I bet you must be better than me in other fields, as I don't even have the money to buy the same computer, shame on me.
